imageen - Objectives

The Imageen project has several objectives defined in the frame of the call for of the Erasmus Mundus - External Cooperation Window programme :

To support the North African universities in the implementation of the Bologna Process;
To strengthen the Euro-Mediterranean partnership through cooperation of higher education institutions and non academic members in order to improve higher education systems in North Africa and generate mutual enrichment and understanding between people.

Implementing the new Bachelor/Master/Doctorate curricula architecture;
Improving the transparency and recognition of studies and qualifications;
Enhancing the skills of academic staff so that they can contribute actively to the improvement of content and management of universities (quality assurance and evaluation of curricula and courses);
Developing a pool of well-qualified, open-minded and internationally experienced young women/men as future professionals and leaders capable of responding to the challenges of the new Global Knowledge Society
Developing University-industry links.

Undergraduate and graduate curricula are modularized and courses measured with ECTS;
Quality assurance procedures are improved and evaluation of the curricula and courses implemented;
Pilot projects aimed at developing joint degrees;
PhD Doctoral schools are developed;
University services to be offered in the context of internationalisation of education and in the context of the university-labour market relationship are further structured: international relations offices, project design and project management services, carriers' and students' orientation offices;
Project consortium experience is disseminated towards other academic and non academic members;
Students' and staff mobility scheme is sustainable.
